Social Media Advertising For Lawyers

This is a controversial subject with many different opinions about how to advertise, where to advertise, who to advertise to, and even what to offer. The overwhelm of advertising leads to either indecision or a complete scramble and mumbo-jumbo add that saying too much to the wrong audience. What’s a better solution? Good question.

Here’s the answer: Just advertise one offer to one group.

Yep that’s all, if you do anything else it will only hurt your chances of your advertising being effective. Imagine if you went to the grocery store but instead of serving fruits and vegetables they sold everything in the world that goes into the process of making fruits and vegetables. Imagine if they sold: soil, fertilizer, seeds, indoor UV lights, rakes, sunglasses, Sombrero’s, tractors, water pitchers, Richard bumble bees, hives for bumblebees, trucks for Distributing vegetables, gasoline to power the tractor, and then scattered throughout all of that different jumble of things they sold an apple.

The thing is when many people look up your Law Firm all there looking for is an apple. They don’t care about all the Minor Details of how to get that apple.

Your job is to sell that apple. So how do you sell an apple? Well there are countless different ways to sell an apple! Perhaps you advertised your cheapest price in town. Perhaps you advertise how you have the best apples compared to any of your competitors. Perhaps advertise how your apples will be more convenient to buy. Perhaps advertise how the making of your apples required more service. Or perhaps advertise a discount.

Yes, I said it discount. People absolutely love discounts. Do you want to know what the strongest word in advertising is? Free.

Our world is constantly stressed about money. People are constantly stressed about not having enough and only believing that they need more. This is why if you can offer anything and show it saves a significant amount of money then you will be at the top of the minds of your potential customers. Why? Because money is at the top of the minds of your potential customers regardless of your services or regardless of how many years of experience you may have at the end of the day what your customers really care about is nothing regarding your law practice. Rather your customers care about their money.

Your clients want to feel financially secure. If your advertising can help them feel financially secure then they are more likely to choose your Law Firm.

This is why many law firms will advertise how much money other clients one on a particular case.

Of course it is always important to mention any legal disclaimers about results not being typical or that every case is different. You certainly don’t want to be a snake oil salesman. Rather you want to give an honest answer as to how much somebody may financially benefit from your services based on real world experience.

To sum up this article there are two things to keep in mind when designing your social media advertising:

  1. Keep it simple only solving the one need of your Target demographic.
  2. Ethically and honestly show how your services could potentially help the Financial Security of your client.

And that’s it.
